A little about me:

Born and raised in Kitimat, BC to Filipino immigrant parents, I grew up in a diverse environment with peers and family friends from many different cultural backgrounds. I was raised to value community and contribution, and am highly aware of the opportunity that living in Canada has afforded me.

After completing my Physiotherapy schooling at UBC, I entered the workforce as a general pediatric physiotherapist at Kids Physio Group, and became fascinated with scoliosis. Further exploration into the medical system exposed a huge gap in conservative management in the lower mainland for kids, teens, and adults with scoliosis and other structural spinal conditions, so I sought further training in the Schroth Method and committed my work to developing thoughtfully designed services at The ScoliClinic.

I’m a Schroth-certified physiotherapist who believes in arming families with the knowledge and skills to support you and your child in the best way possible. As one of the owners, I’ve dedicated my time to evolving our company’s processes and offerings to meet (and hopefully exceed) our staff and clients’ needs.

I believe in lifelong learning, and am constantly thinking about how to integrate information into our practice and create best practices for families in British Columbia. I support our staff and our clients at The ScoliClinic using the following training:

  • SFU Executive Masters in Business Administration, 2024
  • ISICO’s S.E.A.S. Level 2, February 2018
  • Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School – C2 (Advanced), June 2016
  • ISICO’s S.E.A.S. Level 1, January 2016
  • Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School – C1 (Basic), February 2015
  • Society on Scoliosis Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Treatment (SOSORT) Member
  • UBC Master of Physical Therapy, 2011
  • UNBC Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, 2009

I have a deep interest in the intersection between philosophy, entrepreneurship, self-exploration, and health leadership. I have a passion for global health work and coordinated a 5-month project in rural South India just prior to opening The ScoliClinic, and hope to integrate global health work into The ScoliClinic’s offerings in the future.

Social entrepreneurship is another focus area of mine, and I support UBC-affiliated ventures through entrepreneurship@UBC to maximize their social impact.

I was honoured to be named one of Business in Vancouver’s Top Forty Under 40 for 2023, and my leadership learning journey will continue in the years to come.

If you have questions or concerns about the leadership/business philosophies or processes behind any of The ScoliClinic’s policies or services, please reach out to me directly.
