With seven generations before me, I was born and raised in Ireland in a small seaside town just thirty minutes south east of Cork City. I’m the younger of two children, surrounded by a large extended family. I grew up in a family-run bakery (my home was literally above our shop) which has been operating for about 40 years, and this taught me to truly cherish family values, hard work, and to be appreciative of all I have.
I have always been determined and loved taking on exciting adventures, so at 24 I decided to set sail and move to Vancouver BC. Why Vancouver? Thats easy – I’ve always been a lover of the great outdoors and similarly to Ireland, I consider British Columbia to have some of the worlds most beautiful scenic routes. Having worked in the optical industry and management for several years, I thrive working in team settings, with building creativity and bringing formation to niche environments, which is what drew me to The ScoliClinic.
I became inspired by the power of connection through people. I’ve had the honour of engaging in some meaningful conversations with clients in our clinics, I realized that there was a high level of interest in yoga for the scoliosis population. It’s always been a dream of mine to gain more training in Yoga myself, so I pursued and completed the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program through YYoga. With the guidance of The ScoliClinic senior therapists, we’ve developed a scoliosis-friendly yoga class to meet this need of our clients. I’m looking forward to growing and evolving this class.
